Hi neighbors, your new board has spent July laying the foundation, so we can do even more for Deer Creek Ranch going forward. Here's a look at what we've been building behind the scenes, and how you can get involved.

What Has Been Accomplished

•

The new board has spent July getting organized behind the scenes. We've been working on defining roles and responsibilities across the board so everyone knows who owns what. We've also set up Google Workspace, giving shared access to documents and a reliable way to communicate internally. And we're working on putting the website to better use as a central hub for members — from gate codes to event info to getting involved.

Your Neighbors Showed Up - Recapping July Event

Movie in the Park — July 18
Over 105 neighbors filled the park for The Sandlot, complete with live music from Scott Rives, popcorn and cotton candy.

Membership Update: 120 active paying park members

We're growing fast, and every new member counts! Spread the word — invite your neighbors to join today

What’s to come:

These committees are the heartbeat of Deer Creek Ranch and we want you to be part of them. Board member are stepping in to help launch one, but we can't do it alone — we're looking for neighbors to join as committee members and for a few of you to step up as committee leads:

•	Safety & Compliance – keeping signage, gates, and park conditions in good shape

•	Events & Community – planning events and seasonal gatherings

•	Social Media & Communications – newsletters, photos, and keeping neighbors in the loop

•	Sponsorship & Outreach – building relationships with local businesses and growing membership

•	Facilities & Projects – hands-on help with park improvements and work days

•	Financial Oversight – supporting the budget, insurance and association finances

•	Governance – reviewing our bylaws and rules and ensuring they are up to date

Whether you'd like to join a committee or lead one, we'd love to have you! Just fill out the volunteer form on our website — select "Members," then "Volunteer" and fill out the survey— and a board member will follow up with more details.

Hello neighbors,

Spring is in full swing at Deer Creek Ranch, here's a look at what's happening and what's coming up next.

What Has Been Accomplished

•	New locks have been installed on both sides of the lake. Temporary codes are active now:

○	Playground Gate: Press 2 and 4 simultaneously, release 2 & 4, then press 3.

○	Parking Lot Gate: 0000#

•	All gate codes will be updated on 7/1/2026 and shared exclusively with active paying members.

Your Neighbors Showed Up - Recapping May Events

Movie in the Park — May 3rd

Over 125 neighbors enjoyed a magical evening under the stars watching Super Mario Bros, with face painting, popcorn and great memories.

☕ Coffee & Kiddos in the Park - May 23rd

90+ neighbors joined us for coffee, muffins and great conversation while the kids played and made new friends.

Murph Challenge — May 25th

Eight community members took on the Murph Challenge to honor the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom.

Membership Update: 84 active paying park members

Please tell your neighbors to sign up. Every membership directly helps cover our yearly maintenance costs and keeps our parks and lakes in great shape for everyone.

Spreading the Word Online

Throughout May we've been active on Facebook, Nextdoor and Instagram — sharing calls for Movie Night volunteers and sponsors, a membership drive, board election details and a volunteer recruitment push. Follow us to stay in the loop!

New Gate Locks Installed + Temporary Access Code

New gate locks have been installed at the park to help protect the property and keep it safe and well-maintained for members.

Temporary access codes are currently in place for both entrances:

Fishing Gate Entrance
Code: 0000#

Playset Gate Entrance
To unlock upon entering and exiting:

Press 2 + 4 at the same time
Then press 3

Beginning July 1, 2026, new access codes will be issued to active members only.

We’re excited to share some updates and what’s ahead for our park and community!

Where We Are

In 2025, the park operated at a net loss of $1,183. As we move into 2026, our focus is on strengthening the park financially while continuing to make it a space everyone can enjoy.

Our Goals

•	Repair and secure the park with new gates

•	Grow membership and increase community involvement

•	Maintain the park (lawn care, electricity, insurance and waste services)

•	Raising funds to install new aeration for the pond to help protect the fish, reduce fish loss and animal safety

Why Membership Matters

Growing our membership is key to keeping the park maintained, safe, and thriving. Every member helps support the future of our community space.

Please spread the word for other neighbors to join us as members via the website.

The board will have a booth at the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt to share more about current initiatives and answer any questions. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

What’s to come:

New gates will be installed on April 13-14 to help protect the property (more details on access codes coming soon!)

Our website and membership portal are now fully live and will be our main hub for updates, events and communication

Volunteer for our Neighborhood Park Clean up April 18th from 8am - 11am.

We’re excited about the momentum and all the positive changes ahead. Thank you for being part of this community. We can't wait to see you at upcoming events!
